Tips and Tricks - Saving Paper

This is a pretty simple layout using the Elemental paper pack from CTMH.  

The layout pattern is Sweet Symphony from the Imagine how to book.

I also used Chocolate Waxy Flax from CTMH for the stitching.

The second picture is a picture of the back of the right hand page of the layout.

With the new heavier weight B&T Duos paper from CTMH, there is no need to have 3 layers of paper on the page.  To save paper, after cutting all peices I will arrange the layout without attaching anything.  Then anywhere where there is a large amount of paper that is double or triple layers I will cut out the back paper leaving about 3/4 of an inch around the edge as a gluing edge.  This means that I will have pieces of paper that can be used on other layouts or cards!   From this layout, I ended up with a 6 1/2" x 9 3/4" piece of Desert Sand cardstock as well as a 3" x 8" piece of the red/green patterned B&T paper. That's plenty of paper to make a card or to add to another layout!

Work Shops and Clubs

I would like to start up a monthly card club, a monthly scrapbook club and maybe a monthly or bi-monthly projects and techniques group. I would also like to start either a Mommy and Me group or a group for children.  There is nothing more precious than a memory book created by a child. More information will be coming soon...stay tuned!

I am working on arrangements for a location to hold some workshops as I don't have a space in my home that is large enough.

I love teaching and helping others to learn new ways to enjoy paper crafting as well as preserving memories.

I've posted some pictures on my blog of some of my recent projects.  I will be posting more soon, and I will include much more information, like recipe lists and technique instructions.

Dreamin Two Page Layout

This is a layout that I've just completed as the example of one of the two layouts that I would like to do for my Scrapbook Workshop.

This is using the Dreamin Level 2 paper from Close to My Heart.  Also using the canvas buttons as well as two different stamp sets from Close to My Heart.

Hand Made Memory Book

This is a memory book that I made for a member of my team at work who was leaving the organization.  our team filled it with messages for her, pictures and other memories.

I love making handmade books, and Close to My Heart papers are perfect for this!
