CTMH Colour Dare and Unscripted Sketches #165

I'm having a lot of fun with all of the blog challenges that are out there.  It's a great way to keep the creative juices flowing and a great way to find new ideas and try new things.  The two news challenges that I've found are Unscripted Sketches (a friend Laura Davidson is one of the design team for this one) and the other one is CTMH Colour Dare.  I chose to use both challenges on this one card this week.

The colour dare challenge was to add a colour to an existing CTMH paper pack.  In my card the blue patterned paper is from Pemberly and the colour(s) I've added are Creme Brulee (the flower) and Olive (the flower and the ribbon strip of paper).

The flower is from the CTMH May Stamp of the Month set.  I stamped it with archival black ink and then water coloured it with a paint brush, water and some CTMH inks (Creme Brulee and Olive). The sentiment is from the CTMH stamp set A Blossom.

I've added button links to all of the challenges that I've found and I'm going to attempt to continue to participate in, including the one that I'm now on the Design Team for, in the right hand column of my blog.  Join me and play along!

  2. Beautiful card, Dorothy. You should check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog, too. Your creations have that lovely "clean and simple" style, which would fit right in.

  8. Dorothy, the Olive goes really well with the Pemberly B&T, especially when you use the Friendship Bouquet sunflower stamp. I love it! Thanks for joining us at Color My Heart!
